I love anything almost science related for that matter. I am a cinephile, britphile, and I love all creatures great and small. Most recently, I have hung up the lab coat six classes and one senior project from graduating with the covetted degree for a corporate job for a HUGE global entity. Having sold out for now, I never resign my passion for science and my wonder and amazement with the natural world. Thanks for checking me out..

The Two-hundred and first: Hail, Los Killers

I have waited patiently, like a good girl for the Killer's second album. I have held my breath, tapped my foot, with hand waiting on my hip for this wonderful luscious scrumptous fleeting moment in time that they have affectionately named, Sam's Town.

I cannot begin to say that the Killers have exceeded expectations here.

I have provided a quick run through on some of the tracks for your reading pleasure.

When You Were Young: Love this song. Great sound and lyrics, and how can you go wrong with a line like this, "He doesn't look a thing like Jesus, but he talks like a gentleman, like you remember when you were young."

Sam's Town: A strong drum intro and an homage to OMD. A song about being tired of being stuck..ain't nothing wrong with that, Brandon.

Enterlude
: Sweet thank you from the Killers. I am enjoying my stay..even if it's just for a day.

Bling: C'mon..it's called Bling! If you can't shake your ass to this song about a bad ass, then you are a lost cause.

For Reasons Unknown: Do I hear some Oingo Boingo influence, here? It's heartbreaking hear the young Master Flowers singing about his heart not "beating the way it used to". Oh, Brandon, say it isn't so.

Read My Mind
: If I had a dime for a song that sang about Main street and a break-up, I would be a rich gal. Nice beat..reminds me of happy 80's music..where are my leg warmers?

Where the White Boys Dance: I love, love this song. "my baby is gone, you might have a chance, just take me to the place where the white boys dance". All good things come to an end, and if your baby breaks your heart, the fix is to go dance with the white boys.

And the best, the best song on this album is hands down, My List. "Sometimes it gets hard and don't you know, don't give the ghost up just clench your fist, you should have known by now, you were on my list.". I like this song because it's about that kind of good intentions that get us nowhere. About those little things that we pass on because, damn it, someone should just understand we love them that much. Great song.
